GLIMPSES FROM LIFE HERE & NOW

TO CAPTURE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING WE HAVE

Life as it is, here and now. The time together and this particular season of life. The most precious thing we have, something that will never come back. Not that other seasons won't bring their own unique charm - everything has its time - but still, this moment is one we won't get again. This very moment. The kicks in the belly, tiny chubby baby hands against your cheek, wet baby kisses, wobbly little steps, hugs from wriggling children, the laughter and love between you. That's what I want to focus on. Capturing genuine glimpses of life, here and now. Being able to look back at the authentic and beautiful in every phase we go through. Preserving memories of both the big and the small, while being present in the moment. Showing a small piece of your unique story.

TESTIMONIALS

"Att välja Hanna att föreviga ögonblick i livet kommer vi aldrig att ångra. Hon är otroligt kreativ och noggrann, och har en fantastisk förmåga att fånga känslan i bilden. Hon lyssnade in vad som passade våran familj bäst under fotograferingen och kunde ge bra förslag på t.ex. klädval. Hanna är väldigt pedagogisk och mjuk som person, vilket får hela familjen att känna sig avslappnad och trygg. Rekommenderar varmt att välja Hanna som fotograf."

Sussi A.

Rekommenderar verkligen"

FAQ

When does the photo session take place?

If we meet for an in-home session, good natural daylight is ideal. For outdoor photography, we usually aim for the last hour before sunset (golden hour), when the light is at its softest and the images get that extra cozy, beautiful feel.

Where will we take the photos?

It completely depends on your wishes. We can either meet outdoors or in your home. If you choose an at-home session, I'll come to you and photograph you in the comfort of your own space, using the conditions available there. And it takes less than you might think (a bed or a sofa to sit on goes a long way), so don't feel like "everything has to be perfect." You and your home are already perfect just as you are.

If you choose an outdoor session, we'll meet at one of the photo locations I've scouted and selected in advance (around Mölnlycke/Gothenburg). This allows me to know how the light and nature behave, ensure there's space for kids to run around, and guarantee a beautiful final result for your gallery. A photo session should be fun, so we want to give ourselves the best possible conditions. If you'd prefer to use your own chosen location, I'll need to scout it beforehand, and an additional fee (500 kr) applies. I'm based in Gothenburg and primarily photograph in the surrounding area.

When is the best time to book a maternity photo session?

It's completely up to you and when it feels best for your family, and we'll adapt the booking accordingly. In general, weeks 30–35 are a good rule of thumb, as the belly is usually clearly visible while many still have enough energy to move around a bit.

What are we supposed to wear?

The foundation is always clothes that you feel comfortable in and that feel "like you," but there's no denying that clothing choices have a big impact on the final result and the overall feel of the images. Before your photoshoot, you're always welcome to bounce ideas around or ask for input. I'm happy to help you find the right combinations or lend garments if you'd like.

As a general guideline for creating calm, dynamic images:

  • Try to avoid clothing with prints or text that draw attention away from you.

  • Choose natural, soft tones (so preferably not bright red, fiery orange, or neon colors).

  • Aim for a cohesive overall feel, but avoid dressing children or the whole family in the exact same shades and outfits (otherwise you can easily blend into each other in the images).

Why should we hire a photographer?

You might be hesitating, wondering if it's really worth booking a professional photoshoot and paying for images when you already "take a few pictures with your phone" yourself. You waver, thinking that you're "not comfortable in front of the camera," and then it just doesn't happen. Time passes, the kids grow, and suddenly you realize all you have are a bunch of phone photos stored somewhere in the cloud. But the photos that truly capture you together, your relationships, the feelings, and the interactions between you—those aren't there. The laughter, the love, the closeness—those images rarely appear in a selfie collection on your phone. So, what do you want to be able to look back on in 10, 20, or 40 years? And how do you want your children to remember you through the photos? The genuine, intimate, emotion-filled moments with them - or a few "posed holiday portraits" of the family while you spent most of the time behind the camera? The time you have now, together, is worth preserving and investing in.

Do we need to prepare for the photoshoot?

No, you don't need to prepare too much. However, it's always a good idea to make sure the whole family's patience and mood are in good shape (focus on some rest and food). If you want to be extra prepared, it never hurts to make sure everyone's nails are reasonably clean, and to avoid having snus cans, phones, or other items in your pockets.

We adults are extremely uncomfortable in front of the camera - do we have to be in the photos?

It's never mandatory for everyone to be in the photos, but I highly recommend it. It allows for more variety in the pictures, opens up more possibilities, and makes it more fun for the children (which also shows in the final results). You'll get little "tasks" to do, so you can focus on other things and relax a bit more in front of the camera. It usually goes really well and ends up being less stressful (and more enjoyable) than expected.
