About Hanna

So, this is where you'll find me. A positive and empathetic mother of four who often follows her intuition and wholeheartedly advocates for every family's right to a birth on their own terms. I have a degree as a language teacher, but for the past few years I have worked exclusively as a family photographer and supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period.
Giving birth is so much more than a medical event where one is expected to be grateful that "everyone survived and it all went fine." It is an initiation into parenthood and into a new spiritual dimension, and for the baby it is a passage into life on Earth. Perhaps the greatest journey you will ever make. The beginning of life. My wish is that all families are given the opportunity to experience this fully, and my role as a doula is specialized precisely in that - the experience. That you receive as calm, present, safe, and empowering an experience as possible, entirely on your terms.
The body is incredibly capable of handling situations when it is given the right conditions and when we listen to and make space for its needs, and birth is no exception. I have complete trust in the body's innate ability to give birth and in the immense inner feminine power that birthing women possess. As a doula, I offer emotional and physical support and one hundred percent presence in your process, so that together we can create the best possible conditions for your experience. Everyone has the right to an empowering birth.
I take on doula clients in Gothenburg and the surrounding areas (Borås, Varberg, Trollhättan), and can sometimes work further afield as well (the area around Skövde). I primarily work in Swedish and English.

Mother of four
My work is never about me or my personal experiences, but always about the families and each birthing person's individual journey. How we can best create security and the right conditions for that particular family, and what that support should look like. That said, I also know how much I personally appreciate watching birth videos from time to time, and over the years I've followed many families and mothers who have asked me to share more of my own journeys into parenthood. Families who felt it gave them greater calm and a sense of safety ahead of their own births.
So, for those who are curious and would like to see, I've gathered my four births below. Three took place at Östra Sjukhuset (2015, 2017, 2020), and the last was a planned home birth (2021) with support from Barnmorsketeamet. The first two we documented ourselves as best we could, simply because we thought it was fun, but later we realized the value of letting go completely and fully entering our own bubble. So for the later births, we invited our friend Louise (Wanderings) to capture the whole experience.
Welcome into my little world of baby bliss, deep breathing, and life's most extreme oxytocin highs!
